Fossilized Spindle Shells

Love these spindle shells, very pretty, great for decorations.  

These shells were uncovered in the Calosahatchee formation.  These say the shells from this formation were from the Pliocene era. From about 2.6 million to 5.3 million years ago.  Some are even filled with matrix from that era.
